I want to take a moment to tell you that I appreciate you stopping by to read what I write. I am thankful for you, and I appreciate the time you have given me out of your busy schedule. It means much more to me than you realize. I want you to know that you are important to me. Every bit of content I write, I write for God, first and foremost, and then to you. My desire is to bring people closer to God through each word I write and speak, no matter where they are in their relationship with Him.
I believe God has words for all people and has given us opportunities to share about Him in many ways. I love writing about God and the many ways our lives benefit from His truths and plans for us. I believe that God has a message, and that message can be given to us in many ways. Our message can be given to us through a whisper, an encouraging letter, a hug, a prayer, and many other ways that, I’m sure, you can think of.
My Call To Write
When I write, I do so intending to bring people together. There is so much division and heartache in this world, and it can be challenging to see the good. There is negativity that comes in different ways, shapes, and forms. There are broken people speaking and doing things to each other. We have families whose members don’t talk or see each other because of an offense that can’t seem to be restored. We have lost sight of the positive things that still happen and are seeing, experiencing, and may even contribute to the issues we are facing today.
There is so much confusion in this world. People are trying to find out who they are but can’t figure out how to get started. They are overwhelmed, and some of us are facing these issues alone. Darkness is overwhelming the Christian community. The enemy is attacking individuals personally because he knows that if he can tear us down and if he can get it in our minds that we are alone, he can break up families and the body of Christ. He is targeting our children, our parents, our identities, our education, our church body, our lives, and our beliefs.
He uses insecurities and issues to cause fear and pain to keep us from standing firm in who we are. He doesn’t want us to see God as a fighter. He wants us to see Him as someone who sits in silence. He doesn’t want us to see ourselves as saved. He wants us to believe we are unworthy of grace and peace. He wants us to feel ashamed and overwhelmed. He wants to distance us from the only One who has, completely and purely, cared for us.
My Why
My purpose for this blog and the many other opportunities I hope to have through this journey is that you will be given access to God’s love and hope. In the Bible, we know that the apostle Paul wrote to people, specifically, to encourage them and remind them to keep firm in their faith in God. He wanted to see them grow spiritually and relationally. Words, whether spoken through words or written out, have power. We can speak life or death to others. As you read these blog posts and follow, on social media, I pray that they will help you be inspired to see Christ as the man who came to save you because He loves you. I pray that you see how much He cares for you and How great His plans are for you and our other members of His body, the church.
All of us can use someone to come alongside us to encourage and help us focus on how important God is in our lives and the lives of others. May you feel impressed by God, to come alongside people and be an example of God’s love and be used for His glory. If you are currently weighed down by this pain, betrayal, hurt, and hopelessness, can I remind you that there is an enemy who comes to kill, steal, and destroy? Can I tell you that He has come to rob you of the joy our heavenly Father gives all who believe in Him?
John 10:10- “The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
There is nothing that can separate you from the love of the Father. Romans 8:38-39 says, “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
A Prayer For You
May these words be a shining light in whatever darkness is keeping you from seeing Truth.
Lord, I pray for your light to shine through in these dark times. Thank you for remaining close even when it seems you are far away, and this cloud of confusion and loneliness is blocking the light. May you open our eyes and turn our hearts to you daily. Soften our hardened hearts when the temptation for revenge or to build walls in relationships is stronger. Give us strength when we are too weak to move.
May your peace overwhelm us, and your presence manifest itself in ways we can’t explain. May you move through our lives and lead us in the direction you want us to go. Help us not to lose faith and bring people into our lives who will lift and build us up in You. Let your light shine in me and help me be a source of encouragement and life to others. Amen.
